About Our Business
In 1984, the Association for Retarded Citizens of Matagorda
County (Arc) created Matagorda Services, Inc., a non-profit
501(C)3 organization, to provide jobs and vocational training
for the mentally challenged citizens of Bay City and Matagorda
County, Texas.
Three businesses were created to provide employment:
WhaMCo Pallet Company, WhaMCo Recycling Center, and
the Edith Armstrong Center Janitorial Crew.
Matagorda Services, Inc. employs approximately 32 people
varying from company to company. Matagorda Service, Inc.
prides itself on quality work with quality control and superior
customer service.
Matagorda Services, Inc. is governed by a board of
directors consisting of local citizens who volunteer their time.
